Discipleship is the ongoing, lifelong process of growing to live more fully as a follower of Jesus Christ. The Christian Education Ministry serves the educational needs of the congregation and community as we seek to accomplish the Great Commission as mandated in Matthew 28:18-20.  There are three key elements in this process: Deepening, Equipping, and Ministering. These elements aren’t just nice-sounding concepts, they are the building blocks for significant Ministry, the signpost for significant program development, the criteria for significant evaluation. What do you do in your ministry to help people deepen their relationship with Christ, become Equipped to minister in Christ’s name, and to lead them into significant ministry?

WORKING AS A TEAM

"Now he that plants and he that waters are one; and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are laborers together with God; ye are God’s cultivated field, ye are God’s building, according to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation and another builds on it. But let every man take heed how he builds upon it." I Corinthians 3:8-10

God’s work in the world involves many different individuals with a variety of gifts and abilities. There are no superstars in this task, only team members performing their own special roles. We become useful members of God’s team by setting aside the desire to receive glory for what we do. The praise that comes from people is comparatively worthless – invaluable approval comes from God.
